This policy explains what personal data Caravel collects and how it is used. We keep it minimal — we only process what you send us.
Who we are
Caravel is operated by Nelson Costa, based in Porto, Portugal. For any privacy question, email nelson@caravelsoftware.eu.
What we collect
Only the details you choose to send us — your name, email, company and message — when you contact us by email or the contact form. We do not run analytics or advertising trackers. We do read your country from a network-level header to choose which way a small decorative ship animation sails — country-level only, never stored, and it sets no cookie.
Cookies
We use only an essential cookie to remember your language preference. There are no analytics, advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
Why we use it
We use your information solely to reply to your enquiry and, if we work together, to deliver the project. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering you and taking steps to enter a contract.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry emails only as long as needed to respond and, where relevant, for the duration of our working relationship — then we delete them.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, and object to its use. Email nelson@caravelsoftware.eu and we will act within 30 days. You may also complain to the Portuguese data protection authority (CNPD).
